Be carrefull. Do NOT use the latest release but rest on the old good 1.76 version !

To demux audio you just have to go in the audio menu and select "demux all track". Then the audio streams will be demuxed while you are producing the d2v project. (you know how dvd2avi works ?).

I've used it when i first started doing vcds to run the video+audio thru tmpenc i dont rember too well thats been like 2+ years ago

well i tryed to run the d2v thru Besweet some ay i dont see how? But i got a plus tho i dont have to do each vob as 1 video file i can use it to link all the vobs toghter :)

It would be far better to use an avisynth script but if you don't want to bother yourself with this new "difficulty", just use the d2v as source in tmpgenc.

NO :!:
Look at besides the d2v file : you will find all the ac3 files corresponding to the audio tracks of your DVD.

Fluffbutt 07-05-2004 09:39 AM

Dialhot, I've had nothing but trouble when multiplexing with tmpgenc..

I switched to bbmpeg, and all the problems disappeared!

Trouble to read the mpeg on your standalone or trouble to do the muxing by itself ?
First possibility can be real (depend on the standalone) but second one means... ugh... let say that you just misuse the tool :-)

Fluffbutt 07-05-2004 12:31 PM

When I multiplexed with tmpg, the reulting mpg (to vcd via vcdeasy) plays on the stand alone, but there's a 1/4 sec pause about every 4 secs.

I tried all sorts of things to fix it, thinking it was something to do with the audio, or the multiplex rate (I can't see where to change that in tmpgenc..)

At anyrate, I changed to bbmpeg, used Kwags settings he posted on this forum (his picture of the settings), and have ahd zero problems on the standalone..

Thanks.

Okay, standalone problem so. That's not the first time. But some have problems to with bbmpeg :-). The only diff is that in bbmpeg you can change the "force muxrate" parameter and that solves the problem.

Bingo :-)

Dialhot - you've got the answer!.

Tmpg works well on files that are generally low bitrate, or don't have bitrate spikes.

Tmpg worked on a few of my kvcd's - but lately I have to cut 10 mins off the start, write it to a cdrw, see if it plays. If so, then write the full mpg to cdr, if not go back and remux with bbmpeg.

I might as well just stick to bbmpeg for muxing - it's not failed me yet.

Thanks for your replies - different thoughts/views are important!
