Quiet talking, but loud action?

Hello.

A film (Batman and Robin) i did turned out great video wise but the audio is to damn loud in action scenes and very quiet in talking/quiet scenes.

I wonder if anyone can recommend some software or some settings for BeSweet/HeadAc3he

I did use the following in BeSweet but the results was terrible.

C:\Program Files\BeSweet\BeSweet.exe" -core( -input "d:\CD_Ready\Audio\BatmanRobin.ac3" -output "d:\CD_Ready\Audio\Encoded_audio_1.mp2" ) -azid( -c normal -l -3db --maximize ) -ota( -g max ) -ssrc( --rate 44100 --twopass ) -boost( /b=10 /l=0.90 ) -2lame( -m j -b 112 -e )

C:\Program Files\BeSweet\BeSweet.exe" -core( -input "d:\CD_Ready\Audio\BatmanRobin.ac3" -output "d:\CD_Ready\Audio\Encoded_audio_1.mp2" ) -azid( -c normal -l -3db --maximize ) -ota( -g max ) -ssrc( --rate 44100 --twopass ) -boost( /b=5 /l=1.00 ) -2lame( -m j -b 224 -e )

C:\Program Files\BeSweet\BeSweet.exe" -core( -input "d:\CD_Ready\Audio\BatmanRobin.ac3" -output "d:\CD_Ready\Audio\Encoded_audio_1.mp2" ) -azid( -c normal -l -3db --maximize ) -ota( -g max ) -ssrc( --rate 44100 --twopass ) -boost( /b=3 /l=0.95 ) -2lame( -m j -b 128 -e )

my personal taste is HeadAC3he adjusting-->normalize 98/99% !

if you don't like, do that:
AC3 to wave.
run any wave editor(T-Racks, sound forge, audition,etc),
use "gentle" normalization and save.
hint: fade in the beginning and fade out in the end if needed)
encode that wave normalized as mp2 in HeadAC3he adjusting -->normalize 98/99% !
:wink: test and compare the result.
