Is there a way to upsample from 44.1 to 48kHz ?
Hi,
I have some captures that have PCM-16 bit-stereo-44.1kHz Sample rate. I read somewhere in the forum that to make DVD's I need a sample rate of 48kHz.I also know that I need a higher kb/s when using 48kHz, to get same audio quality.(44.1kHz:OK quality with 128kb/s and 48kHz: OK quality with 192kb/s.) My question is this:Is there a way to "upsample"(!) from 44.1 to 48kHz :?: I tried to do that with TMPGEnc with toolame02k,but I get a "choppy" audio when I play the video on my DVD player. Or do I have to capture everything one more time with 48kHz samlpe rate :?: :? thanks ----------------- viking |
Do use Besweet or Headache.

If you want to use tmpgenc, you must use the external tool SSRC.exe for the upsampling operation (environnemental settings / audio tools)

A little sidenote: a 48kHz audio track won't need that much more bits than a 44.1kHz track.

Thanks for the advices.
I tried with SSRC.exe and TMPGEnc,works fine,But as far as I can see,the output must be the same as input ,PCM.Can't get it work using MP2 output ,with toolame02k plugin. So it seems to me that I have to upsample first then encode to MP2. So it may be a better idea to use Headac3he or Besweet. ---------------------- viking |
