Hi black prince,

Just finished my first movie
What can I say, perfect!.
Just hope everyone has the same experience.
I like the audio quality of MP2Enc (used by HeadAC3he) beter than 2lame (used by BeSweet)
Plus HeadAC3he's optimized DLL's are an added bonus

I thought that BeSweet used MP2Enc too.
BeSweet can serve as a frontend to toolame, but if you use besweet (not toolame) you are using mp2enc, as headac3he.

Am I drunk again?

No, you're not drunk. Not yet. It's not 2:00 AM
I was refering to the way BeSweet is used in conjunction with DVD2SVCD.
DVD2SVCD calls azid, shibatch, and 2lame.
HeadAC3he uses azid and mp2Enc.

Kwag,

You still have two more hours to post

I have a bunch of svcds that I made with DVD2SVCD and they sound pretty good- what I'm wondering is how much better is Headac3he than BeSweet (or MP2Enc than Toolame) and what makes it better- like sound not as full or not enough surround info, etc.

thnx,
ren

You're are right ren. Not 2:00 AM yet
So I'll post till 2:00 or till I'm drunk. Whichever comes first ( just kidding )
I like the sound quality of both encoders. But the encoding speed of HeadAC3he is much faster, because of the optimized DLL's for each CPU ( MMX, SSE, etc ).
I also think that the surround 2 ( Dolby Prologic II ) in HeadAC3he's encoded audio is slightly better than BeSweet. At least to me, it sounds better, even at low 128Kbps bitrate.
