Capture audio feed from an online radio source
I am really not sure how to capture the audio from an internet source. It is a radio on the web. So what program would i need to do that?

well i figured i could just put the output into the input and record that way. But if i did it that way would there be more quality loss than if i was to find a way just to record the streaming audio from a program. What good programs are there to encode to mp3 realtime.
Thanks Branden |
Hi heyitsme,
Check out a small program called "Total Recorder". It installs itself as a audio output and allows you to capture any sound directly to a wav file. Search Google for this program and try it out. :) -black prince |
Try to get Streambox VCR. Search the net for that. Also read here: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/au...eambox_vcr.cfm

Thanks Black Prince and Kwag. Total recorder works great. The Stream Vcr wont work since i dont have the actual address of the stream. Before you can listen a screen pops for a second more like a tenth of second so i cant check the address. I clicked on file info on the track it plays on in winamp and it gives me a page about site. I dont think i can do anythjing about it but it is okay total recorder works just fine.
Thank you Branden |
For finding out the url's for streamz (when using appz like streambox) you may need an app called URLSnooper to find out the actual url for the source stream.
I use it at times with ASFRecorder, to capture wmv (asf) feeds say of news broadcasts (i.e. 9/11 streams as they were feeding) since i dont have a video card with tv in at work. :) ztr... msg me if u cant find urlsnooper ill see if i can help ya out... |
