HeadAC3he: MP2 Encoding problems - garbled sound??

I've been using Headac3he for a while and have been pretty happy with the results - until this weekend. I am having problems with a DD 5.1 ac3 track downmixed to an mp2, dual channel, 128 bitrate, 44.1 Resample and Surround 2. I then included the mp2 file in Tmpgenc while encoding the video. When I actually play the completed KVCDx2 on my DVD player with my receiver set to ProLogic on (I can't do DPL II), the L, R and Rear channels seem to be somewhat garbled, but the center is normal. When I switch to regular stereo on the receiver, everything sounds great -- except, of course, no surround.

Any ideas as to what is going on or what I can do to fix this? I've never noticed this problem before. Instead of using the DD 5.1 ac3 track from the DVD, should I maybe use the DS 2.0 ac3 track? Suggestions appreciated...

If you did this, did you set "Enable multiplex with "mux://file name....." option on TMPEG's enviromental settings :?:
If you didn't, then you re-encoded the audio, and that could be your problem.

I will doublecheck this when I get home - I'm now almost positive that this wasn't set correctly for the encode. Maybe another reason to use BBMpeg instead?
