necessary to keep 448kbps?

k when I go through the audio step from AC3 to MP2 is it necessary to waste all that space with keeping it at 448kbps or is that the only way to get good quality vs. sound quality or however you want to put it cuz doesn't it seem more logical to only go to like 192kbps??

let me know... and I will redo it next time for my next movie

thanks.

Hi dionysus.
I only encode with 128 kbps and the sounds are awesome on my Onkyo receiver. That's only a Dolby Prologic and not a 5.1 receiver but a really can't feel any difference of the original DVD. I encoded sometimes with 160kbps and didn't feel any gain.

oi "são paulo"

how are you??? :D
one more brasilian from são paulo ,like muaddib!
i'm from minas,"uai".

i only encode with 160 or 192 films like woodstock,led zep...(musical)
sounds really better in musicals and the size encrease just a few mb.

in "normal" films use 128 with sweethead.
sweethead make better encodes than bsweet, with more options...
the basses are proud and clean, and is fastest too.
