Mp3Pro

Have anybody tried Mp3Pro?

I've heard that this codec produce the same quality with about half bitrate. And if you use VBR you will get even better quality.

You can use Nero / NeroMix (with Mp3Pro codec) to encode those files.

Hi azel,

I've tried it, and it's much better than standard MP3 :)
Go to www.shoutcast.com. and search for "mp3 pro".
You'll find several stations that are already sending out data in this format.
Just make sure you have the MP3 PRO CODEC installed for WinAmp, and you'll hear the difference :)

Mp3 Pro

MP3 Pro is good for low bitrates, in special 64kb to less than 128kb.

From 128kb to xxxxx is Bad, Mp3 or any other codec such MPC/AAC/OGG is higher in quality.

So if you want low bitrates go to MP3 Pro, if you want Quality go to MPC/AAC/OGG or the Known MP3.
