Got a QUESTION is there way, or is it easy to put visualization to KACD You would need a DVD to listen anyhow might as well look at something too.

It would be cool to capture, say WinAmp visualizations of each track you want to record, and then convert that to KVCD MPEG-1
Then you'd have a KAVCD with custom visualizations for each song
Great idea ovg64

@ ovg64.. haha..
yeah, if I was a winamp person, I'd might'ev figured it out, how to extract
those fractels. I think it's an "image file" maybe, and winamp just opens
it in it's fractel window and switches the frames around, much like .gif or video or, it could be something else altogether.
But, you could do this in your (w/ permission ? ) KAVCD by creating
your usual .MP2 audio clips wrapped inside a 300k (per Kwag) but this time,
it could be an actual video (small) of whatever you like, say an artist (nude
ok) and inside your author app, set it to repeat (per autio track)
So, say you have 50 audio tunes, and you want to add visualization to each,
you could have 50, short videos or fractels that repeat maybe 5 seconds
worth of video (of anything really) and set each one to repeat.
Now, I don't know if this can actually be done w/ each audio clip though.
I think that if the video is 5 seconds and the audio is 3 minutes, how can
one set up a video part that repeats ?? Don't think that can be done for an
audio-only author, but maybe the feature is their, but has to be sought out. I don't know about this one.
Anybody else have any suggestions ??
Take it easy all.

hey i did this a while back- I used a proggy called "Hyper Cam" to capture the visualization- turned out good except for the imprinted logo because I wasn't using a registered version

Just remembered..
some time ago, I made a small screen capture app, where you could set
the screen coordinates to capture to .BMP files Ohhh, NOW I remember..
it was a porn site to a web-cam. someone gave me 3 URL's (free)
And, I greeted by many hunnies every evening (for free) ..cause they
coudn't see me , only I could see them
.
.
I ended up going out of my mind, and create the above app and made so
many pic snaps of them all. what can I say. I was a naughty boy.
I'll see if I can find this app laying around. Did it in Delphi 3' days back in
'97 or '98 - that is, if you really want ta look into this winamp thing.
@ rendalunit,
So, you're saying that you were using a shareware app that was souly
designed to capture these little fractel (<-- spelling) pics ??

It's Hypercam-
http://www.hyperionics.com/hc/index.asp
It'll let you capture an area of your screen to .avi

And here's the first KAVCD
www.kvcd.net/sheena.mpg
( 15 second sample ) Play it on any media player
It's the first one, so don't complain
Audio encoded with HeadAC3he as .mp2 joint stereo at 224Kbps and video encoded at CBR of 300Kbps at 29.97fps. Visualization captured at 352x240 with the program above, which by the way is free and it ROCKS
Now I'm going to have a couple of

hey kwag,
which video codec are you capturing to? For some reason CamStudio's not giving me the option of capping with Huffy- even though it's installed
Also are you capping the audio too?
thnx,

Hi ren,
I tried a couple of CODECs, and some didn't work! The one I used for that sample was DivX fast motion CODEC.
I have to experiment more with that
I have Huffy installed, but I don't get that option on the CODECs , even though I do get it in Vdub and other programs
I still have to play with the audio capture.

Looks to me like Mocha its a separate program if you hit the exe (cup of coffee) the program opens it doen't need Winamp to work as i try it allready
This are the file: (file r in winamp folder)
Mocha Technosis
Mocha.dll
Mocha.moc
Mocha.all
Mocha jpeg image

Ok, I see, but the nice thing about capturing in WinAmp is that the visualizations are in concert with the music
So you have visuals in sync with the music. If we record visuals separately, then they are not in sync with the playing track, and that's not as good

Never known that the visual had to be in sync w the Music, i guess that will make it much harder to create a KACD.
BTW I can't save Rec. avis with Cam Studio then again a haven't had a real chanse to play w it......later dude.
