KVCD: Corrupt AC3 file?

hello,

i've tried everything to get a good ac3 file from the movie the royal tenenbaums, but nothing is working. Everytime i rip the dvd with smartripper, as soon as it's done i get the blue screen of death. when i "hit any key to continue" Smartripper is shut down, and all the vobs are on my hard drive. I can watch them and everything. But, when i open headache and configure my settings and hit start, it says that the ac3 has a bad syncword at frame 57. and that its probably corrupt. What should i do?

Try DVDDecrypter instead of smartripper.

thanks for the reply Kwag! I tried DVD Decryter and the same thing happened. I'm out of ideas. It keeps saying the ac3 stream is probably corrupt.

Well, you can try instead of "demux" in DVD2AVI, use "decode", and then select dolby surround downmix. This will leave a WAV file with the surround information in your drive. Then open this WAV file with headac3he and see if you get the same error. That's what I would do. If it works, then just encode to mp2 with headac3he.
