HeadAC3he: Which settings are the best for VCDs?

Which settings are the best for headac3he, when I want to watch my KVCD's on DVD Player that is directly connected to the TV, without any receivers or external 5.1 Prologic, dolby digital systems. The sound comes out of the TV speakers...

I mean which channel mode should I choose? Stereo, Joint Stereo or Dual Channel ?

And which downmix type should I use ? Mono, Surround, Stereo or Surround 2 ?

Thx...

First: No downmix

Second: Joint-Stereo for bitrates under 192kbps gives you a better Quality. Sourround 2 is for Prologic and a surround system

hints:

join stereo is not recommended (general opinion)

normalize at 98% or 99%....or the volume is too loud with some peaks(noises)
 using this values the volume still loud
comparing with the dvd sources but is very clear !

my personal taste:

min 160k dual channel, normalize 98%, no resample (48k)
and,
surround 2 (5.1 source)
or
surround (2 channels source)

Joint-Stereo with MP2 is really a bad idea. :secret:
