disc error on my standalone dvd player?

I converted a file that was 717mb through DIKO free successfully. My BIN file was 826mb. I set nero to overburn and successfully burnt to disc and the film plays fantastic.
Now today i convert a file that is 713mb through DIKO fine. My BIN file was 827mb. This time after burning sucessfully i get disc error on my standalone? I tried again just in case it was a bad disc and the same problem.
I know their isn't anything obvious different, but i wondered if any one had any ideas.
The original file properties of both files were very similar.

The error is as soon as you put the disc in the player, or it happens when you reach the end of the movie ?

their is no actual error during the burn process, it is when i try to play it on my stand alone. I did the same the day before with all the same parameters, as explained in my first post but the second time i get an error on my player.

sorry dialhot,
my player is a philips dvdr 70. when you play a ksvcd it first recognises it as an svcd, then it confirms 5.1 sound and then it will say PBC on and then play.....
this disc error occurs after the 5.1 bit and before the pbc on bit?

Hi stevied20,

Did you try to disable the pbc ?

My player is a CCE-2500 and sometimes (I didn't figure why or when :?: ) I have two problems with pbc.
One is exactly what you described, and the other is the movie will not start at the beginning.
Disabling the pbc fix both problems. Unfortunately doing it I loose the chapters... :(

How did you do a 5.1 SVCd ? With ac3 stream ? That can't work !
In SVCD you need to do 5.1 MP2 streams. AC3 was introduced on DVD (or miniDVD) only.
