Creating PAR2 (Parity) files to protect your investment
 
Use this to protect your MPEG encodes before burning.
http://www.quickpar.org.uk/
Then save the PAR2 files on the same media, or store them separately.
This way, you can reconstruct damaged files.
Also applies to MP3, etc files.
