I don't use DivX either  I tried NeoDVD, but it doesn't work It always re-encodes the video. So there's something in the mpeg that it doesn't like. I thing it's the CQ or the GOP size. In NeoDVD the GOP size has to be 15, no matter if it's a PAL or NTSC DVD. I haven't tried SpruceUp, because I don't have it. If you have it, give it a shot! kwag |
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/vi...s/spruceup.cfm you can find spruceup here i have downloaded this and it has worked great for me but to use your template with this software would be even better please download it and test the dvd program see i am cheap and use this shareware all the time with my encoded streams from tmpeg your help will be greatly appreciated

Surprise. Good news. IT WORKS! I just created a 2 minute mpeg with the KDVD template and imported it with SpruceUp trial version. I created an .img and mounted it with Daemon tools 3.11 ( http://www.daemon-tools.com ) and viewed it in WinDVD. Perfect!. kwag |
have you ever burnt it to a dvd and do you still get the DD audio i have burnt standard DVDs using the demo and nero. my question is do you still get the same audio doing it your way or does spruceup use standard 48khz audio and do you get a slightly lower filesize than 5 hours on a DVD using that audio ? and will the burnt DVD play also do you have to use mpeg 1 layer 2 48khz

Just got a copy of SpruceUp and the Daemon Tools,, how do I use th Daemon Tools to put the KDVD file in SpruceUp? Would like to try to do tow complete movies this weekend as a test, I know MyDVD works on your template but will try SpruceUp, because MyDVD will not allow changes in teh audio files to make it smaller. Many thanks Bud |

This way you can test it as if you had inserted a real DVD in the machine. To create an image, go to Export source options in SpruceUp, and select image as an output. Then select the directory where you want to put it. This is the image file you mount with the Daemon tools. kwag |
yeah kwag but i want to get slightly lower quality on the audio so i can fit 3 2 hour movies
|
you said when you were posting that with DVDIT that you got dolby sound but if i use spruceup do i get the same sound as DVDIT would or would i get lower quality sound like other programs would when you import and i burn the Audio and video folders using nero would i get Dolby digital sound using spruce up or the original sound from the template

So SpruceUP doesn't re-encode anything. And I used the default options. kwag |

Spruce Up Will accept various audio settings, if we made the change to the audio during the TMPGEnc conversion would that make a smaller file size? Bud |

Spruce Up
The test i ran on Hollow Man (113 Min) gave me a 2.4 GB file with your original Template, so if I run this again and change the audio settings to something Spruce Up will accept this should give me a smaller file size, which should allow we to burn 2 movies on one DVD-R (4.7GB) providing the movies are not over 120 min. Now I jsut need to review what audio settings Spruce Up will accept and change the settig just prior to teh TMPGEnc conversion.
