What about standard DVD GOP structure : PAL -15 , NTSC-18 .
KVCD is with GOP 24 / 25 (NTSC / PAL) .
Is resulted DVD compatible and playng flowlessly on standalone players
More info will be very helpful in here

If your DVD player plays KVCD, it shouldn't be a problem after you putting KVCDs into DVD media. Don't worry about the GOP, DVD Author gives you a warning when you import, just click "ignore" and proceed as usual. Enjoy it.

I forgot to mention one thing, if your KVCDs is 25fps or 29.97fps, you need to do nothing before importing into DVD Author. If your KVCDs are 23.97fps, then you have to use "Pulldown" making it 29.97.

@ syk21c11
Thank's for fast responce
U probably are right about TMPG dvd authoring tool - it's very friendly and allow to ignore from standard DVD structure requirements (one of them GOP) as I read on DVDRHELP.com site.
Users of this prog are very pleased with it's simplicity too .
I didn't used it yet but I'll soon .

Did anyone use Tmpeg DVD Author to author a DVD with switchable subtitle? I prepare my VOB by using IFO Edit (mux with 2 subtitles), I have tested the VOB generated by IFO Edit which plays fine, subtitles are switchable and working fine. However, after I import the same set of VOBs into Tmpeg DVD Author (I made a simple menu with it), the subtitle button is deemed (grayed) in PowerDVD, no subtitle is selectable. How can I fix this problem. I did exactly the same as suggested by a member in this forum (sorry, I forgot his name), he suggested the following:

-->Click on the Open Button, and open the VTS_01_0.IFO generated by IFOEdit. CLick on the (-) button to open the tree view.

-->Click on VTS_PGC_ITI (on the tree view) and them on the (+) that will appear. Now click on "VTS_PGC_1"

-->On the window in the bottom, scroll down till you find "sub-picture stream 1 status". Double click in this line, and copy to clipboard the value that appears in a messagebox (something like "-2130706432")

-->Now click on the (-) sign in the top of tree (VTS_01_0.IFO) to close the tree. Click on the open button again and open the VTS_01_0.IFO generated by Tmpeg DVD Author. Find the "sub-picture stream 1 status" for this file in the same way you did before. Notice it has a zero value. Double click on it and paste the value you got from the other IFO.

-->Repeat steps 10-12 to VTS_PGC_2, VTS_PGC_3 and so on (if it exists). Also repeat this for the second subtitle stream ("sub-picture stream 2 status"), if it exists

-->Now your DVD already has subtitles.
