Hi Mohan,

The easiest way is to rip your DVDs, recompress with KDVD templates using file prediction to determine how much time you want to put on each DVD, and then use an authoring program like DVD MovieWorkshop to create your new DVD.
Check the guides in the forum, related to file size prediction, and encoding with the templates.

Hi,
I've extracted the dvd with DVD decryptor.
I'm able to use Vobedit and Ifoedit to join 2 smaller DVD movies on to one DVD-r.
However, how can i convert them to a KDVD to get even more movies on one DVDr.
When i used TMPGEnc with the Kwag templates, it does not extract the audio component.
Please explain how i do this or link me to a easy user guide

Sorry for the slow on the pick up

You have to encode the audio separately with HeadAC3he.

Hello all:

I finally created and burnt a DVD test file. It is not perfect, but it played on my dvd player. I am basically following Red-m's guide, using tmpeg dvd author and Nero. What I would like to do is to back up a couple of DVDs onto one dvd disc, and Mr. Kwag has recommended DVD movie workshop to do so. However, having loaded tmpeg dvd author, can I combine the dvds with this software? I was thinking that if I change the chapter numbers on disc 2 chapters, to follow disc 1 ( if disc 1 ends on chapter 19, then I will change the number of disc 2 chapters to follow 1, in this case chapter 1 on disc 2 now becomes chapter 20) Will this work?
I have tried using the My DVD software that came with the HP, but it is not working for me.

If you folks do not mind helping me, I am looking for advise in the following areas:

1 - Movie Stacker, I am basically using KVCD_704x480_PLUS; XVCD as destination and 29.97 as my frame rate. The multiplexing setting is looking at bbmpeg svcd mpeg 2. Question: Are these the correct settings for Moviestacker?

2.- Tmpeg enc: I am using the KDVD d1 settings. Need to force the input file coming from Moviestacker. ( looking at "all files" and loading the avs file to Tmpgcenc's video source)

3.- use bbmpeg and muxing the video and audio (DVD setting)

4,- The muxed file is then sent to tmpeg dvd author, which gives me a whole bunch of chapters, and these files in turn are sent to

5.- Nero Express and burnt as DVD

The final file's size is about 38% of the original file...................I see pixelation, particularly on dark scenes, but if I increse my CQ to increase the size of the file, I may be able to correct this pixelation, Is this assumption correct?

Thanks

Hello again:

Just to let you kow that the audio problem appears to be OK. I will perform a couple of tests, but it was resolved by checking the reencode audio w/ output tracks box, on tmpeg dvd author. The horizontal borders are still there.....

Thanks
