Gentlemen:
A couple of weekes ago, I burnt acd with the 6 segments that Kwag created to test if the dvd player works with kvcd signals or not. It so happens that 1 of my players (RCA) while accepting the cd, it did not play the segments properly. However, the Toshiba SD1200 player recognized 3 of 6 segments......but that was 3 weeks ago. Today, I tried the cd again, and much to my chagrin, neither one of the players recognized the cd...... The cd is clean, meaning no marks at all.......I burnt the test signals with Nero, -can not get VCDeasy to work-the cd is a TDK, and my burner is a hp200e....... Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi totonho03,

The only thing I suspect it that the media on your CD went bad. This is very strange, but it does happen. Burn the image again on another CD-R.

Hello Kwag:

I was so sure that I had already posted a reply, but do not see it here, perhaps it went to never-never land. Any way, This is what I was saying on my reply:

Last night I burnt a CD-R (Sony disc) and a CD-RW discs, with the following results:

1.- The CD-Rs (Both Sony and TDK) are not recognized by the dvd players.
2.- Both the RCA and Toshiba players recognize the HP CD-RW disc. However, the video played on the RCA unit is not viewable at all.
2.- Only the first 3 segments are viewable with the Toshiba unit. ( I was under the impression that most units would recognize CD-R and not CD-RW, but I guess that I was wrong)

A couple of questions:
!.- Is it possible to fool the players, and make them believe that the signals are VCD type signals? (with the use of a header?)
2.- Is this a Nero problem? (All cds were burnt with Nero)
3.- Is this a HO 200e problem?

Thank you for you advise

Totonho03

Edit: HO 200e should have benn HP200e.
Has anyone experienced this problems with their players ?
