Any Guides on KVCD menus?
I have these TV episodes that I encoded and I would like to create a simple menu at the beginning of the disk that has a background image I capture from one of the Movie frames and list the episodes.
So if you push 1 you get the first episode, 2 you get the second, etc.. background music would be cool too If I can do that. A small cllip in a loop or something? Also if this can be done, how much room should I leave on the disk for these features. I don't want to encode the usual to fillup all 80 minutes of CD and run out of space for the menus. Gracias :!: |
in nero you can do a menu(without sound),
with images from scenes! but have some ways, somebody will tell more eficient results. many members here do it! |
Well I don't do it usually, but you can download VCDGear, which is a powerful tool for Menus and stuff.
the link to a new version is on the mainpage I suppose. |
Or the program by ahead...
Nero Vision? or sth like taht... works quite fine! |
Nero Vision?
Can Nero Vision burn a KVCD3 disc? I check it out a few days ago and it looks like you can only burn a standard VCD. It transcodes down to... crap.
I like VCDEasy. It seems to be more effective than VCDGear but I have recently download VCDGear and I am checking it out. Too many people like it for there not to be something there. I make my menu in a graphics tool. Many times I just use PowerPoint because I am so quick with it and the paste function is so forgiving of multiple picture formats. I create one picture that has several captures and numbers. You could create multiple if you wanted a multi-menu disc. Then I load the picture in the Tools part of VCDEasy and it converts to an MPEG file. Now add that file like a regular clip and make sure it is the first one in the list. On the Interactivity tab are all the controls necessary to make that picture work like a menu. It could even be several frames instead of one to make the illusion of an animated menu. You will not get the UI interaction of moving cursors but I don't think any tool can do that with a VCD. If I am wrong about that I want to know so I can start experimenting... Grantman |
Hmmmmm... funny...
AFAIK i had an older Version once, which could burn non-standard... But the newest Version actually can't :-( Too bad, pretty nice software... |
