DVD Lab Horror Story

Has anyone ever used the TRIM option in DVD Lab ? Well I did...just wanted to trim 100 mb off the end of a 2.3 gb movie, but instead,DVD Lab went crazy and kept ADDING data to the file: 20+ GB and counting, then I had to shut down the dam app before I ran out of hard disk space! Could anyone tell me a reason or explanation of what went WRONG here ???

Well, I guess that's "normal" cuz I have the same thing happening to me when I encode an MP2 audio file...it starts out with 100 MB...then baloons to around 3 gigs...then falls to 100 mb. But how and where does this Video file editing ends ??? I think I'll stick with TMPGEnc DVD Author...and play it safe.

i tried it once, seems to transcode the file just to trim.
it went to a tmp file somewhere on a scratch drive.
tmpgenc or m2edit work somewhat better for trimming.
