Authoring: Up to 11 hours of Movie on a DVD+R ?

That will be possible soon :-)

Philips intend to deliver the first double-layer DVD+R burner in 2004. The disc capacity will be extended to 8.5 Gb (4.7 Gb on current DVD+R).

1 TV show season = 6 DVD = 30 Gb. Not really so big :-)

Note: and who said you have to do all the ripping before doing the KVCD ? Perhaps when CQMatic will have a batch mode... :-p

Plus 5 more GB for the KDVD itself :-)

For TV shows I do 1 DVD at a time since I'm low on space right now... so for a 6 DVD set (for example) I'd rip each disc and encode it to fit 1/6 of a DVD. Not ideal, but it works and I only need (at the most) 10GB :-D
