VCD is too large! 800mb!
it seems that my dvd player can only play CDRW and i have a 700mb cd, BUT the kvcd is 800mbs!!!!! i tryed to pull the mpeg into premiere to cut it in half..... but... the file is a .dat..
how do i get this to work? |
You don't have to cut anything :!:
VCDs are burned in MODE-2, so you can burn 800MB in a 700MB CD-R. -kwag |
how do i get this to work :( im using nero 6
step by step instructions would be great thx. sorry im alittle slow with this stuff |
Hi talos,
Just burn with Nero as "Non Standard" ( Non Compliant VCD ) You'll see that option in Nero. I would suggest you try VCDEasy, because you can add chapters to your MPEG movie. You can't do that with Nero. -kwag |
omg this is killing me... ok i opened up nero and selected to make a vcd, turned off the standard vcd thing like u said, but still nothing... so i got vcdeasy, i currently have VCDEasy v1.1.7 commerical version. can i can't seem to be able to do anything....
I select NTSC and the burner.... but there is no MPEG to import its a .Dat file in the MPEGAV folder, and i can't import that file... so im so lost here... HEEELLLLPPPP |

Get VCDGear, and open your .DAT and convert it to .MPG I believe VCDEasy can convert the file for you too. Check the "Tools" section in VCDEasy. -kwag |
k it burned.
ill get back to ya to see if it really did work. thx |
k its not working, im getting an disc error. i must me doing something wrong... are there any special settings or anything???
im going to try nero now. |
Extract your MPEG from the DAT, and play it in WMP. It should play :!:
If it doesn't play, there's something wrong with your .DAT -kwag |
no it works awesome... but i want to burn it to a cdrw so that i can play it in a dvdplayer on the normal tv
|
ok well nero is not letting me burn it says the file is to big.... i turned off the standard thing, but no go....
and with vcdeasy im getting errors so its not even burning anything to the cd... so thats why its not playing int he dvd player. |
one error says that my "force driver" or something is wrong or something, so im trying the different ones, it was set on default before....
|
Do you have ASPI drivers installed :?:
If not, go to Adaptec's site and download them. -kwag |
