How to insert regular or modified AC3 track into SVCD compilation?

Helo.
I'm not ignorant, so please read this carefully
I was wondering if there is any way to trick standalone to play AC3 audio on SVCD compilation. I guest (ok, I know) that AC3 stream mixed into SVCD mpeg file is unplayable by SAPs ("I hear silent" ;) ). But how about to insert a regular (or modified) AC3 track into SVCD compilation (maybe in different folder, or under different filename) to cheat SAP and force him to play this file.
The reason of this "circus" my test SAP is unable to read miniDVD :( and I have no DVD writer yet (I've got this in plans ;) ).
So any idea if this is possible :?:
Thx for advices other than: "buy DVD recorder", "use MP2 tack", "use MPEG multi channel track" etc. ;)

The answer will be very short : no there is no way but you can try with multi channels mpeg2 audio stream.

Thx Phil.
I was expecting this type of straight answer.
My only hope was, that if we use so many resolution, multiplexing, GOP tricks, maybe for this occassion someone was having last "wild card" in sleeve :D

Thx.
Maybe I should explain my goal more specific.
I've tested AC3 stereo file on my SBLive! 5.1. I forced player (PowerDVD, MediaPlayerClassic) to redirect audio to SPDIF, for audio card to decode stream. I was very supprised of the results. Front channels (FL, C, FR) was separated perfectly, and rear chanels was far better than with MP2 Surround II mode. And this all was in 128kbps. So this is was my major goal, to obtain almost Digital (5.1) audio track, with stereo 128kbps. Try this for KDVD in stead of MP2. I use ffmpeg for encode to AC3 , but for input you can't set AC3 6ch to mux, so you have to preform 6->2 transcode to WAV under BeSweet.

Hydeus, this is great!

can you post big details?
i have sblive5.1 too but never did like you.

encode to AC2?
i don't knew AC2!

who knows we can use soft encode?!?!

:)

Hydeus 03-12-2004 06:59 PM

AC3 of course  I've already edited this ;)

Ok this was long day for me. I'm going to sleep.

Short and simple.
1. Transcode AC3->WAV stereo with suround II with BeSweet (you mau use HeadAC3, but I use command line BeSweet)
2. Encode to AC3 stereo (AC2 ;) ) under ffmpeg with ffmpeggui
3. Play AC3 track (or muxed MPG or VOB file) and in audio properties set redirect to SPDIF.

Thats all.

I dont use soft encode so I can't help you in this case.

Be carreful before to go to MP2 multi channel : you must have a decoder in your card for that ! It's rare to have it even on high prize receiver. I don't know if you will have it on an audio card.
