Doea an 80min CDR hold 814,373KB in mode 2?
Hello Everyone!
According to FitCD the Pure MPEG stream line lists the CDR as having a 814,373KB size. Overhead using VCDEasy is about 12MB so I should be able to fit 814-12=802MB on the CDR...right :?: |
Overburn
Not sure about EasyCD but with Nero overburn I have been able to get up to 835 on an 80 min CD............

Thanks, but I wanted to know what the true mode 2 capacity is. That way I can try to get max bitrate.

A 80 minute CD = 800MB A 90 minute CD = 900MB Etc, etc, etc...... Just add a zero to the time rate on the CD-R. -kwag |

I know...I am looking at the true capacity. According to VCDEasy burn log the CDR80 I use actually has an 807 mb capacity and the overhead is ~11mb so that means the MPG must be less then 795mb or the burn will fail. I was wondering if this is true for all types of 80CDR's and what the capacity is for other sizes. |

Re Nero not liking 785,084,420 MB
I've got a 700mb 80min Fuji CDR in there and Nero keeps saying the 785mb file (size through nero's explorer) is too big. I turned on overburning and still no luck. Any ideas?
Thanks, Spyglass |
I would guess that NERO adds more overhead then say VCDEasy which adds about 12mb. I go up to 795mb+VCDEasy overhead. NO OVERBURN.
