Avisynth c_.dll Version 2.5?
Hi All,
looked hi and low for this as my script says Media player will not operate without it giving an error. Does anybody know where to get it from please, Thanks Blubear 8O |
do not use media player. that is not a player anyway, that's a trojan crap.
(note: I don't have this dll on my pc, so you have a problem somewhere). |
message to Dial hot
Hi phil,
Thanks for the reply. I have always used the Small media player from the start as AVS script redirects to this when you install it and it is mentioned quiet widely onthis forum. I dont understand about The Trojan business. Can you be a bit more explanative on that point of issue please. Many thanks. Steve. 8O |
Each time you open windows media player, informations are sent to M$ and it (M$) can return you whatever piece of code it wants to, included some to corrupt the media if it is DRM protected and you didn't paid the license.
For sure this can be blocked by a firewall but it's not a reason. Note: wmp is widely mentioned on the forum, but with the words "DO NOT USE IT". When just we say "open the script in wmp" is just because it's a way faster to say 'in a media player but not in the one given with M$". |
Hi Phil,
Any Idea how to resolve this. I Tried opening the script in Virtual dub for a second opinion and got this error message from it: The procedure entry point avs_new_video_Frame_a could not be located in the dynamic link library avisynth_c.dll. YThis was the same one I got from Media player.???? Any Ideas?? Steve. |
You clearly do not miss it ! That's the opposite : the bug IS in this dll.
REMOVE this dll and see what happens. You have surely a codec on your PC that is used to read the avs files but it buggy ! Use GSPOT on the avs to see if it can tell you what happens; |
Hi Phil,
Erm... I havn't got this Dll in my filters file. I presumed from the messages I had got previously that these apps were requesting it.. Steve. |
The error message is hard to understand but btw that is not important to clear this out. What is important is to know what is used on the PC so please, try to use GSPOT. I can give you some precious info.
Note: normally a non found dll generate the error 'file not found', not the error 'function not found in the dll". But the dll can have an internal declared name different from the filename used on the disc... |
