Hi,

For now it happened with only 3 movies, all 3 were Disney cartoons.
But it is really an ugly problem. Look at her mouth.

Here are two screenshoots:

In motion it’s even uglier!
Well it looks like a bad IVTC problem with wrong field order (or something), but I don’t think that is it.
The source D2V was “forced film” but the problem is not present on the source (without filtering).
Also the problem disappears if I just remove the MA part of the script.
That’s how the screenshots were taken, the left side is the MA script and the right side is the same MA script minus the MA part (plus a TemporalSoften).

Anyone else noticed this?
Or know what could be wrong?

Cartoons can be a tough one so the first question naturally is:

Is it really FILM material or telecined - or the dreaded hybrid?

Save the project with Force FILM disabled. What is the FILM percentage in DVD2AVI after it's been saved? If it's 95% or more, it's FILM; if less, it's telecined.

Well, unfortunately the source is not in my hand right now... it's with my nephew, but I'll check that later.
But what MA script has to do with Film/Telecined/Hybrid material that just removing the MA part the problem disappeared?

I just thought that since the MA part deals with different frames at the same time, it might get confused if the source is prepared in the wrong way.

However, it could also be TemporalSoften (in the MA part) causing the issue. Maybe you could try replacing it with TemporalCleaner? Unfortunately I don't remember the correct syntax, but I think Phil posted his version of the MA script a long time ago and it had TS replaced by TC.
