Good morning folks,
I am hving a wee bit of a problem.
Kwaq, your Templates work well...and have definately improved my output.

I was using Tempgenc to encode video and audio but my audio is very low. So I browsed the forums and found that Headac#he makes for better encoding...yes, it's true.

I am using the file size prediciter to try to come up with a good video size then encode audio them mux 'em togther.

Here's the problem: The muxed file does not seem to correspond the the separate file sizes...or...when I mux the file size increses to an unuseable size.

example:
The matrix-
video=622MB (652,689,679), 652,697,600 used
audio=156MB (163,593,926), 163,594,240 used
muxed file= 1.4GB (1,576,590,512), 1,576,599,522

Video is encoded using Tmpegenc @ 352x240 , 29.97, 22 CQ_VBR, 1500 max and 200 min. stream type=video only
Audio uses Headac3he
Mux uses Bbmeg VCD setting-forced mux audio rate=0-pack options=2324

Perhaps I am using the incorrect setting in Tmpgenc? should it be "system-video only" and Video CD-non-standard"? Would that cause padding or something if it wasn't...
am I just bugging out here?!?!?!?

Hi Rig R. Mortis,

When using bbMPEG under "Program Stream Settings" check
VCD, check VBR, and Forced mux rate = 0. Then do your usual
mux.

thanks Black Prince, I'll definately give it a try next time around! I was able to fix this mux to fit beautifully.
What I did was use Tempgenc to multiplex (regular not simple) using non-standard VCD settings...file was 808, Fit perfectly on CD.

I used the LBR as the base template and tweaked the settings...it looks great on the TV, truly amazing...Kwaq you have my undieing gratitude.

I gotta say, you guys jump on a question on this BB without the typically scorn for newbies and stupid (heh) questions...I've learned alot just reading through the threads...suddenly friends and family think I am some sort of genius...little do they realize, eh?

Thanks again
Rig
