SansGrip's filters or FitCD

What is the best for crop, resize and Aspect ratio?

SansGrip's filters:

GripCrop(...)
GripSize(resizer="BicubicResize")
GripBorders()

or values of FitCD:

BicubicResize(...)
AddBorders(...)

Thanks.

Both do use for their calculations PAR (Pixelaspect) based maths. So thats the right way. AFAIK Gripfit just uses 1/3 D1 when resizing to 544x576(480) so thats the only incorrect one. But as I do assume that you wont resize to 544 widths you can trust also GripFit.

But keep in mind that Gripfit does check the given black borders of a source using a luma sampling, so everytime do a preview on your avs script focussing the right cropping.

Thanks, friend...

1) Gripfit does check the given black borders...

If I wish remove de black borders... I must use DVD2AVI "Video/Crop & Resize" and put Top, Bottom, Left and Right values on FitCD? It's correct?

But, then I can't use GripCrop? How?

2) Another question. If I use GripFit(x, y. overscan=2, source_anamorphic=true) for 16:9 DVD source, what are the correct settings in TMPGEnc? I read too much about this, but I still don't know... :oops:

3) It's good a overscan=2 for a Full KDVD?

Thanks.
