Here's some possible fixes:

1. Use DVD2AVI 1.76 (ver 1.77 makes incompatible d2v files)

2. Make sure Avisynth is correctly installed. You can test it by making a script with just this one line: version() #load this into tmpg

3. Increase the priority of the DirectShow in environmental settings in TMPGEnc

open TMPGEnc, and click option -> Environmental setting -> VFAPI plug-in -> right click on DirectShow Multimedia File Reader and click higher priority until it's at the top.

Your .avs is probably trying to load a .d2v that was not made with DVD2AVI version 1.76. Be sure to use DVD2AVI 1.76.

Another thing you can do is run the VFAPI Reader codec that comes with the DVD2SVCD bundle and convert the .d2v file to ".avi" and put that file in script.
