Sorry about posting in wrong section.
I am trying to encode to fit a final dvd with ac3 audio, not mp2 audio.
Trying to adjust video size to fit 4.70BGB DVD-5 less the size of my ac3 files (from DGIndex). 4.70GB DVD-5 4508876 GB Total AC3 size: 540000 GB ---------- Video size: 3968876 GB Trying to adjust custom media size to compensate for increased audio size, but when I enter reduced media size, video size does not reduce. Possible mod would be to allow input of audio size and reduce video size to correspond if not using mp2 on dvd. http://www.digitalfaq.com/archives/i.../2007/01/9.jpg :? |

Did you check if the length in minutes of the video are correct ? Don't you have to put the fps to 29.970 to obtain correct values ? |
My mistake, of course. I assumed mp2 would be smaller. Didn't knowze that 448 ac3 would be same size as 448 mp2.

I edited my post above. Will the size inconsistanies cause a problem? It must result from the 60fps capture rate somehow.

As I said : verify that the length in minutes indicated by HCMatic is the one of your source, else that means that you did not set the correct FPS. As I can see on your snapshot, the source is 42min04sec, that is also what is shown in HCMatic. So 23.976 is correct. |

FYI I use the bitrate calculation done by Karl for Calcumatic. If you used to use it (with CQMatic) before, then don't worry the maths are correct. |

No problemo :)

I am using Multidecimate() to remove duplicate frames from my Fraps captures (works fine). At present, am using TMPGenc to process instead of HCEnc due to audio muxing.
I would prefer to use HCEnc, but it doesn't do audio. Can I somehow extract the audio from the decimated file during avs processing and mux afterwards? I cannot extract directly from the source code, as frames are removed during processing. |
Why the hell are you asking that on a "HCMatic howto" thread ?
You can extract the audio with tmpgenc insteed of encoding. Just go to "File -> Output to file -> Wav". If you have a question : open a thread in whatever alse forum that can suit for it. |
Was in haste. Should have been more careful in posting in correct thread.
You did answer my question, though. :D |
