Which should be used, I've seen each specified in various sample scripts.

I always use MPEG2DEC.dll, but I believe once I had the #2 running by mistake. Don't know what the difference is. Stick to the MPEG2DEC.dll just in case. I've never had a problem with it.

I Use Mpeg2dec.dll. The other has extended features, but will perform
the same.

in dv2svcd Q&A at doom9,
"says" to use mpeg2dec2.dll if cce crashes...
or something like this (just like safe mode to encode).
