how use a filter with the avisynth?

Can someone please help as i`m pulling my hair out. I have an avi file appox 650mb. I have run it though virtual dub and done it as a direct stream copy. Then I open the direct stream copied avi in fit2cd. I want to add filters like blockbuster and fluxsmooth but haven`t got the foggiest how do it with the avisynth. People have given links and help but I just keep getting error messages on the encoding screen in tmpgenc and getting really confused. I`m new to adding filters and don`t know the first thing about avisynth and don`t know what to do so could anyone help please as the films that I have encoded with kvcd have come out ok but need to have filters added to them. Thanx in advance and sorry to be a nuisance.

just added this script to fit2cd as a test

LoadPlugin("e:\filters\blockbuster.dll")
Blockbuster( method="noise", detail_max=10 )
Blockbuster( method="sharpen", detail_max=90 )
BilinearResize(336,144,31,0,578,272)
AddBorders(8,48,8,48)
#Trim(0,102875).FadeOut(150)

Can someone tell wot i`ve done coz i got no errors when encoding
