SansGrip Filters: Psychovisual - What happened?
@SansGrip,
I came across some interesting posts started by you about Psychovisual used with mpeg-1 and mpeg-2 encoding. What happened to your investigation and what have you learned? http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.ph...t=psychovisual What is visually seen by the eye and what is ignored :?: -black prince |
I think after reading just some of the first posts of that thread, that was some of the brainstorming SansGrip had, and was the start of Blockbuster, then NoMoSmooth, followed by FluxSmooth, etc :wink:
I'm going to read that post all the way to the end. Some of it is very readable, and some is way WAY above my head :D -kwag |

and apply compression. This could eliminate flashing completely in mpeg-1 encodes. I found that http://www.xvid.com has updated discussions on psychovisual effect where scenes such as water, smoke and fire could be detected and more bitrate applied to improve the blockiness. This is very interesting reading. :D -black prince |
