Reinstalled AviSynth, but missing the file extension association for .avs?
Due to a system crash I had to reinstall anything including AviSynth 2.07.
After installing AviSynth the script handler is working (opening a .avs script with WMP shows the correct movie). The only thing that is missing is the file extension association for .avs. How can I recreate it? Holger |
hi,
in Explorer, go up to tools > folder options > file types > scroll down to .AVS and choose the app -ren |
Ok, but which app to use? As far as I know AviSynth has no executable
to launch. Is it possible to associate the .avs extension with the filetype video so that it will open with the preferred video player instead of the WMP?? Holger |

Edit: Doesn't work with WinDVD. It runs the player, but doesn't play. Not sure about PowerDVD. Maybe other players (BSPlay, etc. ) will work. -kwag |
I have it associated with a text editor (EditPad is a great one!).
Makes it easier to edit them... |
