Hey everyone,

Firstly, I'd like to give a big shout out to Kwag for making this amazing template and a thank you to the users for making it so popular

Having said that, im not a newb in the field of converting/encoding divx and s/vcd's; but now i would like to enter the fascinating world of KVCD's. I have downloaded many samples and movies in KVCD format and i am truly amazed at the quality, and especially the size. Now, its my turn to create these kvcd's, but i am having a major problem: the file prediction.

I have downloaded FitCD_v1.0.5_Prediction&Filters_v0.2 and also ACP. But i am not used to making these scripts or whatnot, and i don't see a file prediction option for KVCD in FitCD. So here's my question. How do i create a kvcd of a DivX or XviD .avi file (NOT from a DVD) which will fit perfectly on an 80-min cd-r, or perfectly on 2 cd-rs? All i need is either the formula or a program which will tell me this.

Ok thanks a lot there

But do i really need to extract the audio, convert, create a script...

Can't i just somehow calculate the CQ with some formula and then simply convert with TMPGenc like i would convert a normal VCD?

to get the best result you should use this method.
get the tools moviestacker and ToK. these are great tools, that do nearly all the work for you

Ok, so im at step 2 (moviestacker phase) now, and ive been trying for a few days to figure out what to do, but i have no idea.

There are no instructions in that guide for what to do with moviestacker:
Quote:
Use MovieStacker:

The avs script below was created by "MovieStacker" a utility developed
by Mauddib. The nice feature about this utility is the ability to save
your favoriate scripts to load when you need them.
Im stuck, can anyone help? I've created my .m1v and .mp2 files just fine, but now im lost

very easy my friend:
call tmpgen and load your " Newfile.avs"(is this the name?)
in the video source>browse and "tick" in "load" and get the templateif needed!

Now that you have your audio and video files encoded, you need to multiplex them together with bbMpeg. Use the settings from the screenshot in the sticky post of the bbmpeg section.

For the .mp2 file i followed the guide exactly, but the .m1v file i just let the CQ be default and used the KVCD LBR template. But that was my last solution because i didn't know how to use the file prediction software to make the .m1v a specific size. Because in the guide at step 2 it doesnt tell me what to do with moviestacker!
