Hi Kwag,

I'm having some trouble with using FitCD and the new Template (Beta 704x480 CQ50). If I don't use FitCD and encode directly from the .d2v the picture quality is excellent but the sizing isn't quite right (almost but not quite). If I use FitCd two things happen, one is that i get a boxed in black picture, and the color quality goes crappy, even though the sizing is nice.

Here's what my avs script looks like:

LoadPlugin("D:\DVD\Decoding\MPEG2DEC\MPEG2DEC.dll" )
mpeg2source("D:\SHREK\VIDEO_TS\shrek.d2v")
BilinearResize(672,336,0,0,720,480)
TemporalSmoother(1,2)
AddBorders(16,72,16,72)
#Trim(0,130390).FadeOut(150)
#ResampleAudio(44100) # CCE 2.5 'crashfix' for Athlons
## If you want this 'fix' permanently, edit the INI-file:
## Under [AVSscript] set the CCEcrashfix-option to
## CCEcrashfix=1

The original is a dvd rip that doesn't have any black borders (like widescreen) but the aspect ratio when I preview in DVD2AVI is 16:9. My dvd player can't play the template properly unless I remux it as an SVCD. Do I need to set this in the FitCD on the top left section in "Multiplexing"?

Also, I've got the source size, but there's a Resize and a Destination size. I've set the destination size as 704x480 (XVCD because of the new template) but why is there a Resize Size and should I change it?

Thanks.

Hi Spyglass:

Check that the "Blocks TV-overscan" in FitCD is 0
If it's not, it will affect your resize values.

Not sure if the image is coming up but here is the link:

I changed the Block-TV Overscan to 0, and adjusted the Resize to 704x480 and the destination size to 704x480 with XVCD. However, the Crop is down to 528x480. Is this ok?

Move the "Round to:" slider in FitCD until you get "error: 0%"

What is the value of "Trim" standing for? If I want to set the exact script as you suggested, can I enter/alter the script directly inside the far left lower window (inside the window of AviSynth), or I have to select/check those tiny buttons/boxes in order to make FitCD to show the correct script.

You can edit the script directly in the lower left window, and then save it.
