Maybe I've missed this in some topic but should I only use the DCTFilter if my source is bad Your final size will be larger if you wont use the DCTFilter. Is'nt it good that you can rise the CQ value if you use DCTFilter

I don't think DCTFilter has much of an effect on picture quality...but it does seem to reduce the size a little bit, so I would say use it anyway. Every little (bit of extra bitrate) helps, IMHO...
