i've notice that using the lastes script for AviSynth 2.52, when the camera doesn't move straight, but jumping, the background becomes blurry for a moment and then sharp for another moment, repeating this secuence...

It can be easily watched in secuences with people walking slowly... stopping at every step...

¿Has anybody notice that?

@ bicho_visaco..

>> Has anybody notice that?

Yes.

You are correct. I've ben noticing this too. I notice when the script does
process, and comes to a "sceen change" the frame AT this change is
distored, and following frames are clear.

I don't quit think its a bug, but rather a script programing challenge.
That is, if Kwag can incorporate -1 in this. Ok, I should elaborate
on this ??

Yes, when the scene (hopfully true) is:
* deteced, and
* prepares to perform it's filter decision, it
* should NOT do anything for this ONE frame. leave alone, and
* then process the frames as such.

if my logic is in error, please forgive me. I am a programmer, but I'm
not familiar w/ this MDAS (Motion Detection Algorithm Script)
But, it sounds do-able.

@ jell.. are you jell'en w/ this ??

Later guys.

Anyone noticing this, make sure you have the variable scd_trigger set to at least 25, and maybe even 30.
The problem can be related to a glitch in the movie, and AviSynth's internal function "YDifferenceToNext()" can "false" thinking it's a fast change from frame to frame, when indeed it's a glitch in the picture.

Hi there!

trigger was on 25 and I saw this effect on two scenes, one on the desert (movie Star Trek Nemesis) where those glitches could appear, but the other scene is onboard the ship and I cannot think about anything producing this...

By walking slowly I didn't want to mean seeing it slowly on the DVD, but the person walking carefully...

¿how could I post a part of the movie? It could make it easier to see the effect I think...

@ bicho_...

it sound like you haven't IVTC'ed your source, and you are viewing those
pesky Interlace lines. I hope I'm wrong, but then agian, I hope not. cause
it would mean there is something wrong w/ the script.

Can you tell us about how your processed your DVD RIP ??

Your process for:
* dvd2avi
* frameserver (vdub or AVIsynth, or directly into TMPG)
* encoding settings under Video and Advance tabs

Thanks.

I think the only problem could come from the source, a Xvid, but it could be dissappointing because most of us do recompress movies in this format to can watch them on our DVD's... The rest of the options are as always except the script, it was the first time i was trying the version 2.52 , and the script was no modified, it was kwag's script.

I will try to upload a portion of the movie for kwag to watch the effect but it couldn't be until tonight (European time).
