MPEG1 Input?

How? Any Idea?
8O :?:

Jellygoose 07-30-2003 06:20 AM

DVD2AVI :!:
Frameserve as .D2V :!:

Razorblade2000 07-30-2003 06:25 AM

Tried that... DVD2Avi won't open my .mpg file :cry:

Ohhhh... it DOES open my .mpg... only takes about a minute :oops: :wink: :D :lol:

Dialhot 07-30-2003 08:33 AM

And does it really works correctly ? Because I never manage to have a correct behavior of DVD2AVI with MPEG1 files.

What happens when you fs ? Do you obtain the correct frame number in tmpgenc ? I don't.. :-(

Razorblade2000 07-30-2003 09:39 AM

uuuuuhm... dont know...
I only realized that DVD2Avi did load sth...

Jellygoose 07-30-2003 09:50 AM

Version 1.76+ always opened my MPEG-1 Files for me, and frameserved them correctly to TMPGEnc. Never had an issue with that :roll:

Dialhot 07-30-2003 09:53 AM

That's strange :-(.

I have to give a second chance to DVD2AVI :!:

Wilbert 07-30-2003 03:43 PM

dvd2avi is not supposed to be able to open mpeg1 files. So, it's not strange if you have problems with that.

Dialhot 07-30-2003 04:37 PM

That was I suppose. I did some new tests after Jellygoose told a few weeks ago he uses DVD2AVI for that but never had success :-(

Dano 07-31-2003 07:22 PM

You can open mpeg-1 directly using Nic's mpegdecoder.dll.

Dialhot 08-01-2003 03:46 AM

No Dano, it does'nt work. The framenumber is not correct and whatever you do to fix it (as indicated in the manual) it doesn't work.

Razorblade2000 08-02-2003 08:05 AM

Sooooo...

Any solution yet?
DVD2Avi ---> freeze
Nic's mpegdecoder.dll --> freezes at a frame...framenumber not correct...
MPEG Mediator --> Uhhhhm... how?
VirtualDub --> Frameserve --> works... somehow... but wrong framenumber?!

kwag 08-02-2003 08:15 AM

Directly with TMPEG's newest version 2.520 :idea:
Which has built in CRI SoftDec CODEC :!:

Razorblade2000 08-02-2003 08:18 AM

uhhhhmmmm...
jo no comprendos?! :lol:

kwag 08-02-2003 08:27 AM

Open your MPEG file directly with TMPEG (Version 2.520 ONLY :!: )
It now supports direct MPEG-1/2 as input.

Try this in your script:

DirectShowSource("F:\****\101 Family Guy - Death Has A Shadow.mpg")

1 Problem:
I somehow can't usw converttoyv12() using Directshowsource?!

And:
Howto get 29.976 -> 23.376???

(I am a PAL Region inhabitant... so I usually have my 25 fps and it's fine for me)
