And does it really works correctly ? Because I never manage to have a correct behavior of DVD2AVI with MPEG1 files.

What happens when you fs ? Do you obtain the correct frame number in tmpgenc ? I don't..

Version 1.76+ always opened my MPEG-1 Files for me, and frameserved them correctly to TMPGEnc. Never had an issue with that

dvd2avi is not supposed to be able to open mpeg1 files. So, it's not strange if you have problems with that.

That was I suppose. I did some new tests after Jellygoose told a few weeks ago he uses DVD2AVI for that but never had success

You can open mpeg-1 directly using Nic's mpegdecoder.dll.

No Dano, it does'nt work. The framenumber is not correct and whatever you do to fix it (as indicated in the manual) it doesn't work.

Sooooo...

Any solution yet?
DVD2Avi ---> freeze
Nic's mpegdecoder.dll --> freezes at a frame...framenumber not correct...
MPEG Mediator --> Uhhhhm... how?
VirtualDub --> Frameserve --> works... somehow... but wrong framenumber?!

Open your MPEG file directly with TMPEG (Version 2.520 ONLY )
It now supports direct MPEG-1/2 as input.

Try this in your script:

DirectShowSource("F:\****\101 Family Guy - Death Has A Shadow.mpg")
