I found a tool called TMPGEncCalc 1.0

TMPGEncCalc is a simple GUI enhancement for TMPGEnc which attempts to get the size of the output file and remaining free space on the target drive while encoding (all in real-time).

You will be prompted to start TMPGEnc if it isn't running already. Once started, it will sit quietly in your task bar until you start encoding at which point it will jump up on your screen and serve it's purpose in life.

Maybe it is usefull for you guys...

I could never get it to work in XP. I tried it over six months ago. It's supposed to report the file size of the file being encoded, as it grows. Basically the same thing you do by opening an explorer window, and see the file size change as it's being encoded

Or maybe it says:
"You've run out of disk space
You are probably sleeping now, and when you wake up, you'll have a corrupt MPEG file, because of a disk write failure "
