Ok, I have a little challenge for you guys.
I need a MA script for a worst case scenario, live music dvd!
You know concerts are mainly kept in the dark with lots of flashing lights and high action scenes.
I just tried Megadeth: Rude awakening, 107 minutes, with 352x288 I got a CQ of 68 but it looks horrible!
Any suggestions are welcome!
I want it in a 1 80 minute cd!

I'd say go for a higher Luma Blur like 0.25 for example. This will make the whole image softer, but avoids artifacts and gives a better compression.

Megadeth: Rude awakening, 107 minutes?

CheronAph,this deserve more than 1 cd, think in audio quality too!

why don't: 2 cds at 480x480 mpeg2 and audio 192-48k?
you will got round CQ80 for each cd!
...if you like the idea,this is the script that i use for musicals in 2 cds:

mpeg2source("D:\xxx\xxx.D2V")

Undot()
Asharp(1,4)

GripCrop(480, 480, overscan=2, source_anamorphic=false, dest_anamorphic=false)
GripSize(resizer="BiCubicResize")

Deen()
DCTFilter(1,1,1,1,1,1,0.5,0)

GripBorders()

for 2 cds with great audio bitrate and high CQ!
only adjust the "anamorphic" parameters if needed!

<edit>
very important....i forgot to "say":
i'm not guru...
but... you know it!

It's really better to use 2 cd's for this concert. I've made Metallica - Live at rock am ring 2003 (2 hours) on one cd with 160 kbps for audio but with poor video quality. Actually the video is not so important in one conert anyway
