Avisynth: Script in FitCD?
 

If I want to encode VOB files (ripped from DVD) by using half-D1 KDVD, what would be the correct script for FitCD?

I don't know when should I check the "anamorphic" in the output of FitCD? I know the source file is automatically detected by FitCD, is the output script of FitCD required to be correspondance with the source?

Lastly, what is the correct aspect ratio in Tmpeg if the final output is half-D1 KDVD? Thanks in advance.

I assume you are processing your VOB's with DVD2AVI version 1.76. Correction: ( I had typed 1.77 here :evil: )
So just open the .d2v with FitCD. You must leave the output "anamorphic" checked if the input is detected as Anamorphic. This way you're creating the same output aspect as Anamorphic. It WILL look taller while encoding in TMPEG's window. This is normal.
As for input settings, when you process through an AviSynth script using the 352x480 KDVD half D1, you set in TMPEG as Center (custom size) xxx,yyy. Where xxx and yyy are the values that FitCD gives you for resizing. Then the correct resizing is being fed to TMPEG by the AviSynth script. For output settings, on KDVD templates, you select the same as your source. If your source is a 16:9, select 16:9. If it's a 4:3, select 4:3. This is only for the KDVD half D1 template. Doesn't apply to KVCD templates. If you don't want to create an Anamorphic DVD, then un-check the "anamorphic" output on FitCD. But always use the resize values from FitCD for the input aspect ( center(custom size) ).
