with all the above guides you can use a little tool called FitCD
unfortunately i don't have the link to get it  but i can email it to you  |
FitCD ? Wasn't this software I saw in Jurassic Park ?
We are now in Disneyland age : we use Moviestacker ! :D (and if you do not understand, FitCD is a very old tool that was replaced by moviestacker a long time ago). |
I erased by mistake the last post of incredible. He was talking about the fact that MovieStacker is based on FitCD but in some case FitCD is more accurate when it computes the settings.
I apologize Incredible, that was just a mistake in the moderator buttons (edit button is too close from quote one). |
No Problem ....
That happened to me also one time ... But you repeated in short words well what I was intended to say ... |

@ clickit ...
...no offense and I understand your intention. But I think resizing (as this offers FitCD) is not the only he wants to know about Avisynth  |
here, i think, we are exchange some ideas and not make ironic cpmments

My last post wasn't refered to Dialhots point of view and that you see this as sarcastic ....
It was refered to your post above this .... but you're right lets get back to topic: Tony, A very good way to understand how AVS works is to examine Scripts! If you already got some experiences on scripting like ... just for example with the good old "basic" on a commodore64 *just an example!* this gives you a view of the "logic" how scripts work, now you can assume my age refering to the use of a commodore 64 *lol. Now,...if you see in the script a command you don't understand, watch in the AVS syntax.html with is delivered with avisynth and which should also be insaide the doc folder of your installed avisynth on your harddisk. If you see a Filter you don't know ... watch the readme of that filter! It explaines everything, the syntax to use, what this filter does (spatial or temporal filtering), what are the recommended defualts and so on so on so on... After this take a look at avisynth.org ... where you also can find guides how scripts do work and how functions within scripts have to be implementated... you will see very clear whats this all about ;-) I did 2-3 Years all my mpeg jobs on a MAC and one of the reasons why I changed to PC was  AVISYNTH! :D |

BTW my message wasn't so sarcastic. It's first purpose was to tell that if you have to discover a tool to make scripts, let's use the newest one. |
