Recording Video: Dish Network Satellite Systems?
 

Looking for information on a good Capture Card or a Standalone DVD Recorder. Having a dishNetwork (Satellite System) system installed soon and want to be able to processing the files on my PC with the KDVD process. I have tried to do a search of the forum and did not see anything of interest (too many hits to scan through). I do have a Panasonic E20 that I’ve used in the past. Not concerned with HDTV now, I don’t have HDTV TV. Want to upgrade my System; software recommendation would be great also. I have read a little on some software, BeyondTV, Myth, and Freevo etc. I have been overseas the past two years now back home and trying to get caught up on my system, thanks in advance.....

Nice to see you back :D
Check the Hauppage WinTV PVR 250 or the 350.
It's the best bang for the buck ;)
You can use the card with MythTV, Freevo and other Windows based PVR software.

Thanks....great to be back in the US (Hawaii). One problem with serving overseas is that many on-line compaines will not ship to APO's (Military Address). I will look into your recommendations and let you know...
