Hello Kwag.

Congrats on the new site. Glad to be a member. I've bookmarked it as my homepage.

As you know I have had encoding problems with the template due to my sourcefiles being divx stuff downloaded from the net.

I bit the bullet and got a DVD Rom and am eager to start ripping my own DVDs to start with decent sourcefiles.

Can you recommend the software I should use?

I have smartripper, and a pile of stuff, but I'd like to use what you currently consider good, and use yourself so that any instructions I may ask for/get are for the same apps as you use.

Thanks,

EightBall

Welcome EightBall, and thanks!

I haven't personally tried it, but a friend told me yesterday that he is using DVDit 2.5 for DVD authoring.

He says it also works well with the MPEG files created with TMPEG.

not sure how that answers the question I asked, but I will try it. Thank you. I'd still like to know what you are currently having the best success with.

Yes, I misunderstood the question. I thought you had bought a DVD burner, but it's a DVD-Rom. ( I need some sleep )

There are too many choices to specify one over the other.
See the new Sefy's guide in the main page.

Take a look at CladDVD Xp, if you are using Windows XP.
