ATI All In Wonder 128 32mb vs All in Wonder 8500?
Hey, I'm building a new computer. (It roxors) and I want to capture video but it only has 1 AGP slot and that's where my Geforce 4 Ti 4200's going. So I had an Idea. A long time ago I heard that the ATI All in Wonder 128 32meg used processor power to capture video and not the card. That meens that my 2.2ghz would capture great with it. Or mabey I'm wrong. Would it be better to get an AIW 128 32meg or an AIW 8500? They both capure MPEG2 so hat's not a problem but the 8500's an AGp so I'd half to get rid of my beutiful GeForce 4 :( . Any help would be appreciated.

Hi twobit326,
If you really want the best quality for price, and you have a lot of disk space ( 40GB+ ), go for a WinTV GO card, and capture with the Huffy CODEC. You won't regret it  You'll get the best quality encoding the captured AVI off-line with TMPEG. Also, be sure to use these drivers: http://btwincap.sourceforge.net They rock! -kwag |
Really?
Really? I looked at them and it says it only captures in mono sound. Should I run my sound through my sound card instead?
BTW, thanx. Twobit326 |

Thanx
Thanx! I'm going to be getting it next week. I think I'm going to get their WinTV Theatre because of the extra features and it records in Dolby Surround Sound. (And it comes with a L333t remote!
