How can I get rid of everything from the hard drive?
Hello, I had one old Windows 95 computer that I wanted upgrade to windows 98SE. When I did that something went wrong so I tried to run the quick restore disk that came with the computer when it was new. Now the computer starts as windows 98SE, but shuts down as 95. I tried re-running the quick restore disk again and nothing happen, and then I try deleting all the data by going: start, run, and typed regedit, then I just deleted all the data that was there and tried to run the restore disk and still nothing happen. Now I can only get into windows in safe mode.
1. What should I do to clear my whole HD completely so I can start by running the quick restore? 2. Is there a program available that will do this? |
Boot on a floppy or a CD, go in the console (dos window) and type "Format c: /q"
