New Mozilla Firefox 1.0PR

Hi guys,
There is a new Mozilla Firefox 1.0PR available.
I haven't checked if the new release is due to security issues or if it really is getting too close to 1.0Final 8)
Check their site.
Cheers

- Auto update of extension modules.
- Far way convenient string search within a page (just type "/stringtosearch" and use the tool bar that opens)
- Now when you are on a secured page, the adress bar is yellow (with a little notch on the side to give you insurrance the page is crypted).
- ...

It seems the "Pre" version had a lot of debugging information compiled in, and that was removed on the 1.0 release.
I'm also browsing much faster on WinXP, and also on the Mac OS X version, on my iBook :)

Only right now I´ve paid attention in your post ... I´ve downloaded the extension, installed and I´ve used the "Power" profile and navigation really seems more fast. :P Great tip :!:

Well, after seeing the testimonials I decided to give it a try and the speed increase is more than noticeable, thanks Phil :D

kwag 12-01-2004 06:49 PM

It really is :jawdrop:

Edit: Not only the browser :!:
This extension actually tunes up the internet (TCP) settings on the machine, and it does very well :D
My E-Mail is now downloading faster too :!:
