If you get a Mac keyboard, that automatically gives you two additional USB ports ;)

With no keyboard, no mouse, no screen. 29$ + 29$ + 159$ (for the lowest price on apple store site).

It's like the playstation and others : the main piece is cheap but the extension... :-D

Well for me that would be a perfect HTPC Machine! As there does exist a s-Video TV Out adapter and you can connect a beamer via DVI or an DVI/VGA Adapter :D

Just a cheap optical logitec mouse connected.
So if I would have the money that baby would be defenitely mine! :dunce:

I think the diesign speaks for itself and the OS userfriendly interface is known for its *love* aspects.

IMHO in europe it "should" cost about 390 Euros as the Euro is about 1.30$ , right?

in the state where i live is rare 35C but is not impossible...can happen.
in Rio de Janeiro, and in states of "nordeste"(northen),35C or more
is normal in summer.
remeber?(of course you will).last year in France the temper goes to more than 40C! 8O the weather is encreasing(hot) in the whole world! :(

Of course I remember (15.000 people died just because of that !) and I remember also that my DVD burner didn't want to burn a single disc for two weeks : its overheat protection was activated pernanently :-)

If you ignored that burners are self protected against heat, now you know ;-)

Put a mini fan inside it :D

I wonder how the hell the max operating temperature can be that low, 35C is really not that much.

[OT]We haven't had a decent winter this season, it's been mostly from 0 to +5C all the time. Really nice when you think about the fact that it snowed a lot before Christmas. On a normal winter it's often from -20 to -30C this time of year. It's close to that in the northern part of the country, but not where I'm living :( I just hope the summer won't be extra hot and dry.[/OT]

Look at the size of the box and be aware about fact the fan noise is half the one from a classic mac. And you will understand why the outside temp MUST be low.

You're supposed to be able to go ice-fishing in late December or January (that when the perch/bass is mating) but now you can't even try that because you'll probably end up in the +4C water through the thin ice.

Luckily we have central heating, not to mention the CPU which can easily keep a small room heated without any extra heating from the radiators :wink: The water pipeline system runs deep in the ground where the temperature is always above zero Celsius. Water's about +4C at the lowest even in the hottest summer, which is really nice -- and it even tastes good :D No need to buy any water.

Im just in an exchange with some members of dvdboard.de in their HTPC Forum Section. The only problem with that sexy toy is in htpc purposes IF its capable to playback HDTV encoded streams in a non-jerky playback!
So 720p or 1080i playback today is a must if putting money in a HTPC device. :?

I'm pretty sure that the G4 @1.25Mhz on that machine is good enough for flawless playback ;)
But I guess I'll have to test it once I get that little gem :mrgreen:

I didn't know my old 8bits Oric I had in the 80's can play HDTV too :rotf:

Maybe also a PPC Linux Distro like Yellodog (ist the corr. name?) makes it capable working like other Linux based PC Computers in htpc mode :?:
As there are som many nice GUIs available (maybe they have been already ported to OSx ?)

I just bought for 500€ my new Panasonic 16:9 so no money available in the moment for such a nice Mini-Mac. I would buy it directly if some user reviews already would have been made. I still got in the corner an old PPC9200 including a G3500Mhz upgradecard, but the fsb of that 1995 Machine "runs" at 50Mhz (or better said Hz *lol* ) so its a dust catcher in my appartment.
