It is positive, though.
Since IE is the biggest backdoor for Trojans/WORMs to gain access to your PC, it is not a bad idea to have IE removed from your PC
But it is hilarious to see it coming from a M$ product: to remove one of the only products you cannot choose to install or not when you install XP
Cheers

Looks like a hoax to me. Judging from the content of that article and the site in general, it's just a joke

What I can say is that I have the tool since its release and it has never removed IE. But... that is true that the tool can't be found anymore !

Edit: I hadn't read the others pages. Definitely an hoax.

It's right there..I just went from Microsoft.com to the link at the bottom of the main page and downloaded the file through a couple of clicks.

???
Last time I tried that I had to comply to the "guenine microsoft" programm. And that is not done in a couple of click.

EDIT: lol ! I never saw that you can skip the guenine process :-D
So you're right, the tool is still there.

 Nevertheless it would be a great idea to have M$ spyware tool removing IE, Outlook Express, WMP, etc...

I think the best part is quoting Weatherbee saying "Tough Sh*t."

I think this is definitely an hoax site. Kind of like the Onion.

Check this one out.
